At Valfoo, we can talk about dairy ‘til the cows come home. That’s because for us, it’s a family thing.
Our father, Dieter Krayl, was in the dairy industry all his life. He worked in all areas of the industry in Southern Germany – processing, production, innovating new products – you name it, he did it, from managing the drying plans where they made whey derivatives to meeting farmers in the fields.
Dairy was a regular topic of conversation around our dining table growing up, so it was probably inevitable we would enter the dairy industry, too. While our father’s passion and commitment to the dairy industry led him on an interesting path, we were following our own, heading East to live and study in the fast-growing markets of Hong Kong and Shanghai.
After finishing university in 2009, the idea for Valfoo was born. Connecting our family’s legacy in Europe’s dairy industry with our time spent in Asia, we saw an opportunity to bring nutritious, delicious dairy food and products from Europe to markets in the East.
Through steady hard work, dedication and selecting partners with shared goals and values, over the years Valfoo has grown into a leading supplier of niche dairy ingredients and products. Today, we’re known for our expertise and strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and customers, and trusted around the world as the dairy experts.
